Wildcat Basketball Camp offers a high-energy, skill-building experience designed for athletes in 2nd through 11th grade. Our camp is led by a dedicated coaching staff from both the boys’ and girls’ basketball programs, bringing a wide range of experience, expertise, and passion for the game. Athletes will learn from coaches who have led successful programs, developed championship-level players, and continue to build a strong basketball culture. From fundamentals and footwork to advanced game strategy, our staff is committed to helping each camper grow in confidence, skill, and love for the game. Whether you're just starting out or looking to take your game to the next level, Wildcat Basketball Camp is the place to learn, compete, and have fun in a supportive team environment.
By registering for Wildcat Basketball Camp ("Camp"), the parent or legal guardian ("Guardian") of the participant ("Player") agrees to the following terms:
1. Assumption of Risk. Guardian acknowledges that participation in basketball activities involves inherent risks of physical injury, including but not limited to sprains, fractures, and other injuries. Guardian voluntarily assumes all such risks on behalf of the Player.
2. Release of Liability. Guardian releases, waives, and discharges Wildcat Basketball Camp, Western High School, and their respective coaches, staff, volunteers, and agents (collectively, "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising from the Player's participation in Camp activities, including claims resulting from the negligence of Released Parties.
3. Medical Treatment. Guardian authorizes Camp staff to obtain emergency medical treatment for the Player if Guardian cannot be reached. Guardian agrees to be responsible for all related medical expenses.
4. Photo & Media Release. Guardian grants permission for Wildcat Basketball Camp to photograph or video record the Player during Camp activities and to use such media for promotional, educational, or social media purposes.
5. Code of Conduct. Guardian acknowledges that the Player is expected to behave respectfully toward coaches, staff, and fellow campers. Camp reserves the right to dismiss any Player who engages in disruptive, unsafe, or unsportsmanlike behavior without refund.
6. Governing Law. This waiver shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.

Brandie Taylor brings nearly two decades of experience coaching and developing student-athletes at the high school, middle school, and travel levels. She serves as the varsity head coach at Western High School, where she has been the head coach for 11 years, and also coaches travel basketball with Duval Elite P24. At Western, Coach Taylor has led the program to over 145 wins, multiple district championships, and state tournament regional appearances. Under her leadership, the team has achieved several historic milestones, including the program’s first district title, first regional playoff win, and the first 20-win season. She has developed numerous All-County players, 1,000-point scorers, McDonald All American Nominees, and helped many student-athletes earn college scholarships. She was named Broward County Sun Sentinel Coach of the Year in 2021–22. A 12th grade English and AP teacher, Coach Taylor is passionate about developing players both on and off the court—building confidence, discipline, and leadership while guiding them through the college recruiting process.

Alen Hardy is the varsity head coach of the boys basketball program at Western High School, where he has built a competitive and successful program. Under his leadership, Western has earned multiple Big 8 appearances, district championships, and regional success, including a regional championship and state final four appearance. Coach Hardy also brings high-level AAU experience as an EYBL head coach with Nightrydas Elite, and helped lead a Team Swoop squad to a #1 national ranking. A multi-time Coach of the Year and Nike Top 100 Coach, he is passionate about developing players on and off the court and preparing them to compete at the next level.

Bryan Bynes is a dedicated coach, trainer, and mentor with a strong background in basketball and player development. He currently serves as an assistant coach at Western High School, bringing 10 plus years of coaching experience and a passion for developing athletes on and off the court. A former standout player, Bryan competed at multiple levels of basketball. During his time at Boyd H. Anderson High School, he was a three-time Big 8 County Champion, earned MVP honors in 2009, and helped lead his team to a state runner-up finish. His individual accolades include First Team All-Broward and Kruel Classic Showcase MVP, along with being named a McDonald’s All-American nominee. Bryan went on to play collegiate basketball at George Washington University from 2009 to 2013, later continuing his career at the semi-professional level. Transitioning into coaching, he has dedicated himself to developing players’ skills, discipline, and mindset. Along the way, he has been mentored by former 13 years NBA player Keyon Dooling, gaining valuable insight that continues to shape his coaching approach today.

Coach Bronx has served as an assistant coach for the girls basketball program at Western High School for the past eight years, playing a key role in developing student-athletes both on and off the court. Known for a strong commitment to player growth, Coach Bronx focuses on teamwork, and building confidence in every athlete. Their dedication to mentorship and passion for the game have helped shape a positive, competitive environment where players are encouraged to reach their full potential.
